In collaboration with Imperial College London, we have access to cutting-edge platforms, fixtures and equipment to perform a wide range of tests of high accuracy and repeatability.

Our extensive testing experience includes testing and characterisation of complex materials, biological tissues, polymers, foams, lattice structures, and 3D printed materials.​

Testing Protocols

We have extensive experience consulting and testing both metallic and non-metallic samples, including metal foams, lattice structures, polymers and tubes.

We will test to specified industry standards, or when these do not fully cover your requirements, develop customised tests tailored to your project.

High-rate Testing

For material testing at higher strain rates, we have long-standing experience performing tests on a drop rig. Predominately this machine has been used for compression tests but we have developed and validated bespoke test fixtures, for example tensile adaptors, to allow high rate tension tests to be carried out.

For testing at extremely high-strain rates, we have access to a split Hopkinson pressure bar, mainly performing compressive tests on thin and small cylindrical samples.

Bespoke Testing

Often innovative ideas require innovative solutions and testing beyond the scope of industry standards.

​

We have extensive experience in developing and validating bespoke testing protocols.  Including the design of bespoke testing rigs and measuring equipment tailored to the needs of the client.
